Matt rocks. Candidly I have had bad experiences with real estate agents in the past. The system includes a perverse set of incentives, and it takes a rare agent to not only really do the right thing for the client (vs just try to churn out a deal as quickly as possible -- any deal) but to go above and beyond to do the right thing for the client. Matt is that rare agent. It genuinely felt like he was buying the house for a family member instead of for a client. And a few other things: (1) he's tough. He's extremely warm but also a dogged negotiator when it counts. Every real estate agent will tell you this, but few deliver. (2) He will tell you his real opinion vs what you want to hear. And Matt also hooked us up with his contractor folks to make the few adjustments here and there that we're interested in making.
